Applications for 2017 icare TMF Awards now open

icare self insurance is proud to host the 2017 icare TMF Awards for Excellence in Risk Management on 6 September as part of the biannual icare TMF Conference on 5-6 September 2017. The awards provide an opportunity for TMF member agencies to showcase achievements within a variety of risk management related disciplines.
The 2017 icare TMF Awards for Excellence in Risk Management program is open to all TMF agencies and partnering service providers. The program recognises organisations that can demonstrate a high level of performance in risk management regardless of the size of the business.
The categories for this year's awards are:
  • Frameworks and systems 
  • Innovation
    • Process
    • Design
    • Reporting & Risk Intelligence
  • Risk Leadership
  • People’s Choice

TMF Seminar - Mental Health and Change Management 

Date: Wednesday, 22 March 2017
Time: 9:45am registration for 10:00am - 3:00pm (including networking lunch)
Venue: Fort Scratchley, Nobbys Road, Newcastle East 2300

This event is an exciting opportunity for TMF agencies in the Newcastle area to attend a Risk Management Seminar. It would be of benefit to risk management professionals, managers, senior executives, work health safety officers and injury management professionals in public sector agencies. 

The theme for the day will be Mental Health and Change Management. The key topics covered will be:

  • Positive and productive workplaces
  • Managing risk and setting standards for mentally healthy workplaces
  • Managing challenging conversations in the workplace
  • Tools/ services to enhance workplace risk, health and safety performance.

Get Healthy at Work 

icare recently announced a $3.5million investment so that NSW Government employees can receive the full benefits of the Get Healthy at Work program, right in time to help set those New Year health goals. The full benefits of the program were originally available only to the private sector, but the investment from icare now means public sector employees can enjoy all its benefits too.
Secretary of Finance, Services and Innovation, Martin Hoffman, has written to all Cluster Secretaries to advise funding is now available to roll out Get Healthy at Work to all NSW government departments and agencies.
Developed by SafeWork NSW in partnership with NSW Health, the program offers employees free, confidential and voluntary health checks. The Brief Health Checks help workers understand their risk of developing heart disease and Type 2 diabetes, and offer lifestyle advice and referrals to health professionals as required. 2016 tmf Awards for Excellence in Risk Management announced 

icare CEO Vivek Bhatia announced the winners of the 2016 icare TMF (Treasury Managed Fund) Awards for Excellence in Risk Management today at a ceremony at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Sydney. 
The awards which recognise the NSW government sector’s standout risk management performers, saw NSW Health employees and agencies shine. NSW Health claimed a winner in five of the six categories, as well as partnered with People’s Choice Award winner, the NSW Department of Education.

New icare TMF Supplementary Brand Guidelines now available 

icare is pleased to share with you its new supplementary brand guidelines for the TMF sub-brand.
These guidelines are designed to feature the icare TMF brand in partnership environments and will ensure our clear and optimistic brand identity is incorporated into all communications.
The new brand guidelines are effective immediately, so please ensure you are referencing the guidelines document for all communications moving forward.  The document is available to download via the SICorp Portal.
Document templates will soon also be updated and available to download.
